Exterior painting · Northwest Arkansas

Exterior painting built for Northwest Arkansas weather.

Weather-resistant siding, trim, shutters and doors, prepped and primed to last through Northwest Arkansas summers, storms and freeze-thaw winters.

Chapter 01

What a Northwest Arkansas summer and spring do to exterior paint

An exterior takes more punishment here than most owners realize. Hot, humid summers and strong UV chalk the south and west walls first, until a dark siding color looks dusty and faded and your hand comes away powdery when you rub it. Heavy spring storms drive rain at the trim and the joints, and freeze-thaw winters pry at every small gap the rain found.

Paint rarely fails all at once. It starts where moisture gets behind the film and lifts it into peeling patches, usually on horizontal surfaces and around windows. Caulk at the trim shrinks and splits, which lets water in. Fascia and window sills go to bare wood. On shaded north walls under the trees, mildew settles in and a wall that is only dirty gets mistaken for one that needs paint.

Left alone, faded, peeling or cracked paint stops being a cosmetic problem. It leaves siding open to moisture damage and repairs that cost far more than a repaint. A tired exterior also pulls down how the whole house looks from the street, which is the first thing a buyer or a neighbor sees.

How Quality Pro repaints a house

The paint is the last decision, not the first. The foundation comes first: all the surface preparation, the primer and the repair work, so the new coating bonds properly and lasts. That means scraping and sanding what has failed, fixing what water has already gotten to, and priming bare spots before any color goes near them.

For the color itself, whether you want to brighten faded siding or change the whole palette, Quality Pro helps you choose the best exterior paint for your home and applies it with precision. The coatings are weather-resistant, quick-drying and made for hot summers, heavy rains and seasonal shifts. For most siding and trim, high-quality acrylic latex is the answer here.

Trim and accent work gets the same care as the field of the wall: trim, shutters, doors and other details in durable outdoor finishes that add depth and character. A good exterior is judged at the edges, where the body color meets a window casing or a garage door, and that is where Obed Posadas and his crew slow down.

Chapter 03

Aftercare: when to repaint and what to watch

A properly prepared exterior typically runs 5 to 10 years before it wants repainting in Northwest Arkansas, and the south and west sides will tell you first. Walk the house once a year in spring. Look for chalking, hairline cracks in caulk, and any place the paint has started to lift near a downspout or a window.

Two small habits protect a new coat. Keep gutters clear so water does not sheet down the wall, and check where sprinklers reach: a head that sprays siding every morning breeds mildew and undoes good paint faster than weather does. Trim shrubs back from the walls so the wood can dry after rain.

Prep decides how long the work lasts, which is why a free estimate starts with someone looking at your walls instead of guessing from a photo. Call (479) 966-6381 and Obed's team will look at the existing coating and tell you honestly whether the house needs a full repaint or a targeted refresh.

Questions about painting the outside of your home

Generally every 5 to 10 years. Hot summers, heavy spring rain and freeze-thaw swings are hard on paint here, so south and west walls and horizontal trim usually show wear first. We look at the existing coating at the estimate and tell you honestly whether it needs a full repaint or a targeted refresh.

Paint forms a film on top of the brick. Lime wash is a natural, breathable mineral finish that soaks into the masonry and leaves soft, textured movement with subtle color variation. As we put it: pressure washing cleans your brick, lime washing reimagines it. If the surface needs cleaning first, we coordinate pre-treatment before any lime wash goes on.

High-quality acrylic latex paints hold up best for most exterior siding and trim here. For decks and fences we use UV-resistant coatings or semi-transparent stains, and for brick we may recommend lime wash or mineral paint because they let the masonry breathe.
