Painters in Fayetteville, AR

Wood siding, deep porches, brick and a lot of rentals. Fayetteville is the southern end of our Northwest Arkansas route, and the older houses here reward a painter who does the prep before the first coat.

Old siding is honest. It shows you what the last painter skipped.

Fayetteville has the University of Arkansas and Dickson Street at its center, but a painter spends most of the day somewhere quieter: the older neighborhoods, where houses have wood siding, covered porches and brick, and where many of them have been painted more than once. On a house like that, the coatings already on the wall decide the plan. We look before we price.

Wood siding and porch trim take the weather hard. Hot, humid summers, strong UV, heavy spring storms and freeze-thaw winters open seams and lift paint at the edges, especially on horizontal surfaces like porch rails, sills and the bottom courses of siding. The job is won in the prep: scraping what is loose, sanding the edges, spot-priming bare wood, and caulking the joints so water has nowhere to go. Our crew works with dust-extracted sanders, which keeps the mess down around your landscaping and your neighbors.

Porch ceilings are small surfaces with a big effect. They are the first thing a visitor looks up at, and they hold moisture longer than anything else on the house. That is why we treat a porch ceiling as its own piece of work, with its own sanding and its own primer, instead of an afterthought at the end of a siding job.

Brick is the other half of the older housing here. You can paint it, and plenty of people do, but paint forms a film on top of the masonry. Lime wash soaks in instead and lets the brick keep breathing, with soft variation in color you cannot get from a roller. We will tell you honestly which one suits the wall in front of us.

Near campus, a lot of the housing is rental. If you own one, repainting between tenants has different priorities than repainting your own home: washable finishes where hands and furniture land, tough trim, and a neutral color the next tenant will not fight with. Tell us your window and we will scope the work to fit it. The interior painting page covers the rooms, and our residential and cabinet work can refresh a tired kitchen without replacing the boxes. For shops, offices and other commercial space, see commercial painting.

I have been on a long renovation journey both inside and outside. Quality Pro painting was there every step of the process. The quality of work is amazing and the team of professionals working on this project were awesome. I highly recommend Obed and his team for your project!

Questions before you hire a painter in Fayetteville

Whoever you choose, ask for a written estimate that spells out the prep and the coats, ask to see photos of finished work like yours, and read what past customers have said about the crew.

Clear the area along the walls you want painted, take down anything fragile, and tell the crew about pets and work-from-home schedules. For exterior jobs, move cars and grills, trim back shrubs touching the house, and point out any soft or rotted wood you already know about. The crew handles the covering and protection from there.

Choosing on price alone is the big one, because the cheapest number usually means the least prep. Also watch for estimates that do not say how many coats, which product or which sheen, and for anyone who will not put the scope in writing. On an older house, ask what happens when the crew finds damaged wood under the paint.

Tell us about the house. We will come and measure it.

Your free estimate comes from actual measurements, with upfront pricing and no hidden surprises. Call (479) 966-6381 or send the details and we will set a time to walk the house with you.
